Official U.S. 250 Celebration Tour founder and manager Tony Griffith came to Mesquite on Oct. 7. At a gala event at the Holiday Inn Resort, he informed the attendees that Mesquite is a chosen stop for the U.S. 250 Tour.
The kick-off for the 250 Tour will begin on Dec. 31 in Huntington Beach, California.
The tour will be in Mesquite sometime in January. Dates have not yet been determined. It will be a three-day nonpartisan event designed to help bring unity back to the country.
Griffith said, “Our goal is to reignite the fire that people should have in them for being an American.” According to Griffith, President Donald Trump has designated this tour as the official year-long 250 celebration tour, including 50 states in 50 weeks.

Each stop will include a freedom village, a traveling festival with national/local performers, family zones, food courts, educational exhibits, immersive AI history displays and state heritage pavilions. Stops will include concerts, reenactments and a docu-series uncovering hidden historical sites in each state. The tour will celebrate local heritage and national pride. All events will be open to the public free of charge.
Natasha Owens, musician, songwriter and contemporary Christian music vocalist, entertained at the gala with her beautiful voice.
The 10-person team creating and operating the tour includes experienced, high-profile people in their own fields, who have produced features like America’s Wall of Honor, a mobile monument to U.S. heroes; Native Sun Productions, a three-times Western Heritage Award winner that has been Emmy-nominated for historic storytelling; and GFM Productions, known for premier staging and live event support
