Clark County Parks and Recreation held its annual Halloween festivities last week at the fairgrounds in Logandale.
Dinner and Trunk or Treat began at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 27, with about 22 businesses and individuals who decorated their trunks so the community could dress up and have some fun.
The weather was perfect, without any wind, which made the whole evening a lot of fun.

Clea’s Whitney and her team at Clea’s Fabulous Realty cooked and served 500 hot dogs for the hungry witches, demon hunters, princesses, wizards, dinosaurs, Winnie the Poohs, Spider-men, mermaids and even Santa Claus.
Candy donations were greatly appreciated by the public, so the burden wouldn’t be solely placed on the volunteers who participated by bringing their trunks. Recreation specialist Lauralyn Robison said about 600 people stopped by to have some spooky fun. “We had so much candy this year! So many people brought donations, and the residents who did trunks came with lots. We didn’t turn anyone away, even near the end.”
Medals were handed out for costumes. Andy’s Room got Most Creative Trunk. The Witch’s Lair got best decorated, and the Graveyard got Spookiest Trunk.
Robison said, “This is a huge hit every year, and our staff looks forward to dressing up themselves and being involved with this community event.”
