Over 144 golfers gathered at Falcon Ridge Golf Course to participate in the annual fundraiser to fight cancer on Saturday, Nov. 22. The Virgin Valley High School Brass Ensemble and the Honor Guard were on hand to begin the tournament.

Inside the clubhouse were tables of raffle prizes with volunteers selling the tickets. The Warrior Women were selling the 50/50 tickets. Every dollar raised went directly to nominate beneficiaries.

“It’s not just about the golf; it’s about showing these families that they don’t fight alone,” said Kirsten Pearson, president and cofounder of Pink Christmas Nevada. “When a cancer diagnosis hits, it affects the whole family, especially during the holidays. Today is about lifting that financial and emotional burden.”

Pearson’s family was on hand to show support. Her mother stated that cancer has been prevalent in their family, from the grandmother to her sister and Kirsten herself. “Kirsten is focused on paying it forward. It is her way of paying back to the community who helped her with her own personal experience with cancer. It’s why she does what she does.”

The fundraiser included Family Fun, a miniature carnival of sorts in the adjacent parking lot. Face painting, assorted food trucks and refreshments were available for the attendees, who enjoyed the festivities from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Dinner was served at 5:30 p.m. inside Scottie’s Bar and Grill, followed by live music. The 8EEZ, a tribute band, donated their time to entertain the golfers.

Pink Christmas Nevada continues to accept donations throughout the holiday season. For those who missed the tournament but wish to support the 2025 beneficiaries, contributions can be made via their website or by contacting the Mesquite Warrior Women of Mesquite.
