William Walker of Overton, Nevada passed away December 8, 2025. He was the 5th child of Amy and BMCS Harold Walker, born January 28, 1966 in Oxnard. He was a California native who transitioned from a background in HVAC to managing houseboats in Nevada.
In his adolescence he enjoyed playing sports such as football, and outdoor games like War with all the neighborhood kids. As a teenager, he loved playing Chess, Dungeons and Dragons, and Atari video games. He attended Oxnard HIgh School from 1980-1984 along with 3 other siblings. While he attended O.H.S., he was able to learn a trade at Regional Occupational Program in Camarillo in the field of heating and air conditioning; this led to him working for a popular HVAC supply company for over 5 years. In recent years, he worked at Lasco Bathware and was a custodian for Reed Gardner, Silver Hawk, Lindsey, and Harry Allen Generating Station. Earlier this year, he retired as a security guard from Coyote Springs Golf Course. He spent his spare time playing Halo and World War Z on X-Box, checking out local garage sales and thrift stores, cooking and swapping recipes with friends, shooting targets, 4-wheeling, and above all, he was always trying to learn something new from a book or tv show.
Music was always an important part of William’s life. He especially enjoyed listening to classic rock artists such as Ringo Starr, Joe Walsh, and Jethro Tull. In 1993, Willy experienced wanderlust and traveled the country in his pickup following his favorite musical group, The Grateful Dead. At the end of his lengthy journey, he settled in Lake Mead because he felt a true sense of family when he started working there and eventually moved up to managing the houseboats in Echo Bay; it’s the very place he met the love of his life, Patricia. Together, they raised her two youngest children. Patty and Willy were married in Las Vegas in 2004. He felt much love for his children and grandchildren, therefore, he desired to always be around to care for and protect them.
