The Nevada Health Centers’ mobile Mammovan will be in Mesquite at the Mesquite Cancer Help Society on Jan. 29 and 30, giving free yearly mammograms to anyone 40 years of age or older. To receive the service, you must be at least 366 days out from your last mammogram.
Early detection is the best protection, said Yoli Bell, director of the Cancer Help Society.
The Mammovan does not bill insurance. If you are under 40, you will have to personally bill your insurance.
Appointments are required. Call 877-581-6266 and select option 1, Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Or visit nvhealthcenters.org/mammography.
The Mammovan features 3-D imaging and smart curve paddles.
The Mesquite Cancer Help Society is located at 150 N Yucca St. Manmovan hours will be from 7:40 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. They will be closed for lunch from noon to 1 p.m.
