Abbott Services has hit a milestone, serving the Moapa Valley and surrounding communities for 10 years.

Abbott Services, a plumbing contractor in Moapa Valley, was established in January 2016. Mike and Amanda Abbott started their business as a handyman service with emphasis on plumbing, eventually getting a C-1d contractor plumbing license. At first it was just the couple and Amanda’s brother, Robert, but eventually more employees were added as the business grew.

Mike has a deep family history in plumbing. His grandfather, Deloy, started the Abbott Plumbing business in Las Vegas in 1950, and eventually, his five sons joined him, after apprentice service and learning from their father. Mike also learned from his father, Bruce, and his three uncles.

Theirs truly is a plumbing family. Mike’s two brothers also have their own plumbing contracting businesses, and many of his cousins are working in the plumbing industry.

Mike explained, “We are a family of hardworking, honest people whose business is built on the principles of fairness and integrity, and are committed to protecting the family name. As members of this community, we will always strive to give you the best and fastest possible service.”

“Our technicians are experienced in diagnosing and repairing leaks, clogged drains, broken pipes, water heaters, fixtures and sewer lines. We also provide preventative maintenance, remodel plumbing and emergency services when urgent problems arise,” Mike continued.

In addition to service and repair, they specialize in new construction plumbing for homes and businesses.

“We rely on our community for word-of-mouth, proving we can provide top-quality workmanship at a fair price. As a family-owned business, we are proud to raise our kids in this community and want to see it thrive for future generations. That’s why we treat every customer like a neighbor and every job like it’s our own home,” said Amanda, who serves as the office manager.

The Abbotts have deep roots in Moapa Valley. Amanda is a sixth-generation resident, and Mike has been in the valley since the early 2000s. The couple lives in Moapa with their children.
