The 29th annual Western Roundup, featuring cowboy poetry and western music, will return to the Mesquite Community Theatre on Feb. 20 and 21. Friday’s event will be at 7 p.m. Saturday will have two events at 2 and 7 p.m. The $20 tickets can be purchased at www.mesquitewesternpoets.com or one hour before each performance.
These are highly entertaining and shows sell out frequently. The pre-show entertainment will feature crooner Care Philip singing country, and the newest and youngest western poets member, 13-year-old ZephRon Darger.
