February 10, 2026 by Ruth Melvin Leave a Comment

The Overton Senior Center, located at 325 N. Cooper St., is open Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Friday from 6 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. They offer lunch daily, non-emergency transportation and recreational and educational opportunities for the local residents of Moapa Valley.

The center is a community hub dedicated to providing quality recreational and supportive services for the valley’s senior population. It offers a variety of amenities including a game room, ceramics room and stage, fostering an inclusive atmosphere for social engagement and activities.

Seniors can participate in morning exercise programs, including a variety of exercise videos that help guide them, Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 8:10 a.m., followed by chair dancing from 8:10 to 8:30 a.m. Yoga classes to stretch and strengthen the body are held Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Line dancers can enjoy moving to engaging music and fun routines. The beginners’ class is held Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 to 10 a.m., and for those ready for more challenging and fast-paced routines, an advanced class is held from 10 to 11 a.m.

Wii Bowling is held Tuesday and Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. For those who enjoy playing pool, the billiards room is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you love to sing, come out and enjoy karaoke night on Feb. 21 and March 20. Grab your friends, pick a song and have a great time. There is a large selection of songs to choose from, or you can call and request a song prior to the event.

Keep your mind sharp by engaging in a variety of fun and social card games available from 5 to 7 p.m. Clark County Parks and Recreation and United Seniors, Inc. work together to provide new programs and activities. They welcome suggestions at 702-397-8002. Programs are subject to change or cancellation based on interest.

Lunch menus and prices are available on the Overton Senior Center Facebook page. Seniors aged 55 and over are eligible to participate in recreational and educational opportunities. The non-emergency transportation program is available to seniors over 60.
