Extra-sensory experience wows audience at Mesquite library

February 24, 2026 by Terri Fitzsimmons Leave a Comment

Over 30 people gathered at the Mesquite Public Library on Feb. 21 to partake in Keith Zalinger’s mind-reading and paranormal entertainment. This was the fifth time Zalinger has performed at the library. His shows have been so successful that residents keep asking when he will return.

Zalinger, a mind-reader, mentalist and hypnotist, has an extensive background in his field. “I have sold out shows at various wineries across the country. I made my debut at Stand-Up NY – a first for any mentalist in the club’s history. In 2024, a soldout audience was astounded at Small Batch Cellars Winery in North Haven, Connecticut,” he said.

Zalinger opened his show by interacting with the audience, having them guess what number and shape he was thinking of. He brought to the stage Vanessa Giebink, an employee of the library. She had a sealed manilla envelope with three smaller ones inside. Each of them contained information such as a name and a location. Zalinger was able to identify each piece of information inside the envelopes.

The performance continued with the mentalist using various objects, such as cards and felt pens. He also showed his clairvoyant abilities by tuning into individuals’ personality traits.

His grand finale was having participants turn to a page in the books he had given them and focus on a specific phrase. He astounded everyone present by revealing the two words: “Standing big.”

The attendees were amazed by his demonstration of telepathy and clairvoyance. The interaction with the audience was a key factor to Zalinger’s success. It was an unforgettable afternoon for many.
