Rita taught college prep science and math classes at Moapa Valley High School in Logandale NV, including AP biology, AP chemistry, and AP physics. She also taught 4 levels of computer programming.
She really enjoyed traveling, photography, scrapbooking and especially her family. After retiring she returned to Michigan to be closer to her brother and family. She put family above all else.

Rita was my friend. I enjoyed her brilliant mind as she taught me computer programing.. She was kind and willing to help over and over until I got it right. She’d even laugh at some of my questions. She was tough and tender hearted at the same time. I was sad but happy for her when she moved back ti Michigan. May you rest in peace, dear Rita.
Rita was an amazing teacher and person. I enjoyed all her classes in Moapa Valley, and to this day they are still among my favorite memories. I hope she knew and felt the true positive impact she had as an educator and a person. Thank you! You are missed!
