While the Moapa Valley High School varsity baseball team was off last week, the junior varsity squad got a 15-11 win over Pahranagat Valley’s varsity team on Saturday, March 7. The JV Pirates also nearly knocked off the Lincoln County varsity team on Friday, March 6, falling 12-11.

“Cooper Comeau was 12-for-14 hitting in the tournament. He’s a hard worker, and I look forward to seeing him continue to grow,” said Moapa Valley head coach Justin Williams. “We’re prepared to get after this week, starting tomorrow at Del Sol and our first home game on Wednesday at 5 p.m.”

The Pirates host Stansbury (Utah) at Moapa Valley High School on Wednesday, March 11. The Pirates travel to Las Vegas to take on Cimarron-Memorial at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 16. They’ll see Smoky Hill (Colo.) at 8 a.m. and Pahrump Valley (5-1) at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17 at Cimarron-Memorial High School.
