Families gathered at the Mesquite Recreation Center West Field on Saturday, March 28, to enjoy the activities available for the children and to participate in an Easter egg hunt.
Many businesses sponsored the activities, including Ace Hardware, the Rotary Club and Kids for Sports. Each booth had a specific game for the children, such as a fishing pond.
Raffle prizes included bicycles for the kids, including one toddler bike. Fat Dough Bakery was a donor of one of the bikes.

Christine Neff from Reliance was on hand to make sure the participants were hydrated. She gave out free bottles of ice-cold water to everyone.
As the clock neared noon, the children were lined up to begin the Easter egg hunt. “Let it start!” they called out as the Easter Bunny made his way across the field. The hunt was made extra special by the businesses who had booths at the park. God eggs were strategically placed around the field. Those who found them received a ticket for a special prize from the business. Each business had tickets in two eggs.
The children raced across the field promptly at noon. They were divided into two groups: little ones and bigger kids.
“This has been such a wonderful experience for my son!” one mother exclaimed. “He loved every moment of today’s activities!”
