Traffic flow plan for upcoming Clark County Fair routes

April 7, 2026 by Mesa Valleys Progress Leave a Comment

Northeast Area Command / Overton Resident Section

We just wanted to give everyone a heads-up in reference to some minor traffic changes that will be enforced during this year’s Clark County Fair and Rodeo.

The stop signs at Hardy Avenue/Frehner Avenue and Lyman Street will be switched, starting Friday, April 10 to Sunday, April 12. So when traveling north or south on Lyman Street, you will have to stop (Hardy Avenue/Frehner Avenue will be free flowing).

Traffic during the Clark County Fair and Rodeo will change to promote easier flow.

During heavy fair egress traffic Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, when the fair is closing, you will ONLY be able to do a right-hand turn from Westbound Whipple Avenue onto northbound Moapa Valley Boulevard (SR 169). If you want to go south on Moapa Valley Boulevard or continue westbound on Whipple Avenue, you will need to go down Hardy Avenue or Gubler Avenue to get on Moapa Valley Boulevard to avoid the mandatory right turn. This includes OHVs.

If there is an officer directing traffic or traffic control devices at the intersections of Heyer or Lyman and you need to go south, please do so cautiously or let the officer know your intent.

While we’re on the topic of the fair, we have tens of thousands of people visit our valley during that weekend. Please lock up your vehicles, hide valuables and report any suspicious activity. We don’t want you to become an easy target for those looking for crimes of opportunity. Please be safe this weekend, and we hope to see you at the fair.
