Virgin Valley High School’s Keegan Stahl finished the 2026 3A Nevada track and field season rated the fastest man. Stahl won the 100-meter dash at the Nevada 3A Track and Field Championships with a time of 11.09, edging out Moapa Valley’s Brenden Van Vliet.
Stahl fell short in the 200-meter dash, placing second with a 22.44 time, just .21 behind Elko’s Octaviann Cordova. Stahl anchored the Bulldogs’ 100- and 200-meter relay teams, which were disqualified despite having top times going into the state meet. Virgin Valley placed eighth in team scoring with 36 points. Other point getters for the Bulldog men were Tyzin Broderick with a seventh-place finish in the 1,600 meters and a fifth-place finish in the 3200-meter run, and Ethan Ofori with a third-place finish in the triple jump and a seventh-place finish in the long jump.
On the girls’ side, Wynn Kelley had a great meet with a first-place finish in the high jump, a second-place finish in the triple jump, plus a fifth-place finish in the long jump. Kelley led the team to a ninth-place finish overall. Other point-getters for the Lady Bulldogs were Mayzie Tobler, sixth in the discus and shot put; Raia Davis, sixth in the 400-meter run; and the 4×400 relay team, consisting of Sparrow Wagner, Davis, Victoria Lloyd and Patricia Slukan, who placed seventh in their race. Despite a small squad, the Bulldog track and field team did well in meets this past season.
