A three-and-a-half-day Freedom Fest Celebration of free thinkers will take place at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas, July 8-11. Registration is open for those who wish to attend this unique gathering of free-thinking minds, carrying forward the independent spirit of our American founders.
This summer, Freedom Fest throws open the doors to a grand celebration of the United States’ 250th year of independence. The event will feature an Independence Ball, art, live music, speakers and ideas, all united by one theme: the enduring power of independence.
Mark Scousen stated, “I founded Freedom Fest in 2007 to give lovers of liberty an open marketplace where we can think freely, debate openly and create the future of liberty together.”
Scousen’s daughter, Valerie Durham, said, “In a world that too often feels divided and cynical, Freedom Fest exudes a culture of respect, curiosity and genuine friendship. It’s where people from every background come together to wrestle with serious ideas — and to laugh, celebrate and connect as equals.”
The fest will include many notable speakers, breakout sessions, an exhibit hall and vendors, plus four days of the Anthem Film Festival with pass purchase, screenings and panels. Some of the speakers will include Steve Forbes; Adam Carolla, radio personality and comedian; Erick Ericson, conservative; Grover Norquist, the tax slayer; John Mackey, the conscious capitalist and Andrew Gruel, the anti-establishment chef. A full list is available online at Freedomfest.com.
Kathy Williams has been a regular attendee for the past 12 years. Williams said, “When I first heard of the Freedom Fest, I was a Mesquite, Nevada, resident, and Las Vegas was easy to get to. When I left my first Freedom Fest, I was elated that there were so many impressive people who believed in individual freedom and smaller government. I felt hopeful. The speakers didn’t always agree, but they debated respectfully.”
Williams reported she has only missed two festivals in the past 12 years because of family obligations. She now travels from her home in Florida to attend, saying, “I wouldn’t think of not attending. I can’t wait to be celebrating the birth of our nation and our trajectory to minimize and eliminate social fraud with my fellow free-thinking Americans.”
