Bulldogs’ Shaner shuts down Pirates with no hitter

Virgin Valley High School’s Degan Shaner had a great week for the Bulldog baseball team. Shaner threw a 15-0 no hitter on Monday, March 30, and followed up on Friday, April 3, with an 8-0 shutout of the Pirates. Bulldogs begin 3A League play with losses to Trojans

Despite outhitting Pahrump Valley on Wednesday, March 25, and Friday, the 27th, Virgin Valley High School fell to the Trojans 5-4 in 10 innings and 9-4 on Friday. Bulldogs shine at VV Weekday Track and Field

Virgin Valley High School hosted Chaparral, Cimarron-Memorial and Lincoln County in a weekday track meet. Team scores were not available, but the Bulldog athletes had a good day in most events during the meet. Virgin Valley High School boys continued excellent early season play by going 3-1 for the week as they defeated visiting Stansbury High School 4-2 on Tuesday, March 10, losing to Mater Academy East 8-2 and, with mostly JVs, defeated Tonopah in a doubleheader on Friday.
