Bulldogs split two league games
The Virgin Valley Bulldogs basketball team lost their first 3A League game on Wednesday against The Meadows 69-47, but came back on Friday to defeat Boulder City, 57-48. The Moapa Valley High School boys basketball team couldn’t overcome self-inflicted wounds in Pahrump on Friday, Jan. 9. Mesquite Senior Softballs begins spring season
The spring season for Mesquite Senior Softball started on Monday, Jan 12, and will run through Wednesday, April 22. Games are played at Hunter Park, located at the east end of Mesquite Blvd, two blocks past the Maverik Station. Women aged 50 and older and men aged 55 and older are eligible to play in the league.
