A New Chapter for the Progress

The Mesa Valleys Progress is working toward a major community milestone: becoming an official “newspaper of general circulation.” By reaching a threshold of paid subscribers, the Progress earns the right to keep essential legal and civic notices right here in our local pages. This ensures that public information remains where it belongs—in the hands of the people it impacts most.

Investing Together: The Progress Scholarship Fund

Local news is more than just a business—it’s a record of our history and a training ground for the leaders of tomorrow. We aren’t just reporting on the community; we are reinvesting in it.

We have established the Progress Scholarship Fund to provide a “leg up” to graduating seniors at Moapa Valley and Virgin Valley High Schools who are pursuing careers in news media or related fields.

  • Shared Impact: For every yearly subscription, the Mesa Valleys Progress contributes $5 directly to this fund.
  • A Bold Goal: We are aiming for 4,000 subscribers this year.
  • The Result: When we reach that goal, our community will have generated $20,000 in scholarships for local students.
