Mesquite structure fire leads to fatality

At approximately 1:46 a.m. on Wednesday morning, Feb. 11, Mesquite Fire Rescue responded to a report of a structure fire at 261 Sun Valley Dr. in Mesquite, Nevada. Deputy Fire Chief Tobler retires from Mesquite Fire Department

Deputy Fire Chief Shawn Tobler retired Thursday, January 29, at a party held in Fire Station #1. Tobler began his public service with the fire department as a volunteer. The Rotary Club of Mesquite’s major fundraiser, the community Mudd Volleyball competition, was halted early by wind and lightning on Saturday, Sept. 27.
