Sandy Tudor greeted the guests behind the history museum on Friday, April 10, handing out Senior Games bags and water. Virgin River hosts MSG Bowling Tournament

The Virgin River Casino Bowling Alley was packed with seniors participating in the bowling event for the Mesquite Senior Games on March 14 and 15. The Mesquite Senior Games begin on March 3, with a dart tournament to be held at the Mesquite Elks Lodge (545 Riverside Road). Fourteen other events will take place through April 22. MSG ends the year with bowling tournament

On Saturday, Dec. 6, the Mesquite Senior Games’ last bowling tournament of the year was held at the Virgin River Casino. Seventy-six bowlers from Utah, Las Vegas and Mesquite turned out to compete. Senior sluggers battle for gold at Mesquite Games in two-day tourney

The fall Mesquite Senior Games began with a two-day tournament held Oct. 4-5 at Pioneer Park in Mesquite. Sixty-nine teams with players in their 60s and 70s competed for the gold, silver and bronze medals. Six games were played in the 60s category and three in the 70s. Teams came from as far as Canada. Forty-six people participated in the Mesquite Senior Games shooting competition April 4 in Hurricane, Utah. There were five categories: Trap, Skeet, Sporting Clays, Rimfire and CenterFire Target Pistol. The Top Gun Award went to Mike Flanagan for the men and Carolyn Hoefe for the women. Farewell to the MSG until fall

Participants competed in 14 competitions over three weeks in the 24th year of the Mesquite Senior Games.
