Rain causes 1,000 Flags scramble

For the first time in 19 years, rain caused a last-minute disruption over the Field of Flags on Saturday, Nov. 8, the day before the closing ceremony was to take place. The Mesquite Chamber of Commerce hosted the sixth annual “Bring a Veteran to Lunch” event on Tuesday, Nov. 11. This year it was located in the Virgin River Event Tent. Mesa Valley Estates celebrates Veterans Day

Approximately 40 residents at Mesa Valley Assisted Living and Memory Care enjoyed a tribute to the resident veterans. Mesquite honored Veterans Day with an early morning ceremony at Veterans Park on Saturday, Nov. 8. The annual service was led by former mayor and Army veteran Al Litman. Former Mesquite mayor and Army veteran Al Litman has been selected to be this year’s grand marshal in the Veterans Day parade on Saturday, Nov. 8.
