On Feb. 1, the Warrior Women of Mesquite came through with another fundraiser for Mesquite resident Laura Fabiola Frias, a single mother with breast cancer. Over 100 supporters flocked to the pool at the Casablanca Resort on Saturday, October 25th to participate in the inaugural Duck Derby event. City courts host state pickleball tournament

Warrior Women of Mesquite are showing up extensively in the Virgin Valley and Moapa Valley communities. The nonprofit sponsored hole #6 at the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce’s 20th Annual Golf Invitational at Conestoga Golf Club on Saturday, Aug. 2, offering a roll of the dice option to improve tee distance. API Uintah Basin Chapter donates to Warrior Women

Ken McDonald and Cathy McDonald were married for 30 years. The McDonalds had a home in Mesquite, as well as one in Roosevelt, Utah. Cathy, a longtime breast cancer survivor, had myocardial depressant factor, which led to pancreatic cancer. She lost her battle with pancreatic cancer on April 15, 2025.
