A western-themed stage was filled with the beauty and poise on Saturday for the Clark County Fair and Rodeo Queen/Princess pageant. The contestants had competed throughout the day in various events including modeling, speeches, personal interviews, impromptu questions, and horsemanship.
The 16-18 year-old young men’s organization of the LDS Logandale Stake made a difficult journey on Saturday, March 22. The group of 75 boys and about 30 adult leaders climbed 3,024 feet in only 4 miles to reach the top of Mormon Peak as part of the Stake’s annual Camp Helaman event.
The students involved in the Moapa Valley High School Drama Department are excited to present their spring production of “Peter Pan.”

I read with interest the story about the federal agencies’ actions regarding rancher Cliven Bundy (Bunkerville Rancher Prepares to Battle Feds Again For Land: Progress March 19, 2014). What does the Fed hope to gain from this?
The MVTAB has approved a second zoning request from Dollar General to build a store on a lot facing Moapa Valley Blvd. (MVTAB Approves Dollar General Request, Progress: March 19, 2014). The Progress editors have apparently approved the effort and decried Clark County for its “lack of common sense and inflexibility”
