Las Vegas News 3 Anchorman Kendall Tenney along with his young son Colton paid a visit to Overton on Saturday, January 10. The purpose of their visit was to assist the Jacobsmeyer family in raising donations for the Make-A-Wish Organization and the upcoming 8th Annual Kendall Tenney’s 5k Run For A Wish. The event will be held on Saturday, January 31 at Town Square Mall in Las Vegas.

Natalie Jacobsmeyer is the team leader of the Moapa Valley Team which currently has 35 team members. Tenney and the entire Jacobsmeyer family including mom and dad,

The family along with Tenney and his son manned tables outside of Lin’s Saturday in hopes of taking in donations for the upcoming Make-A-Wish 5k.
Robert and Natalie along with the kids, Anthony, Amanda, Garrett, and Jennifer tended tables outside of the Lin’s Marketplace on Saturday morning inviting folks to sign up for the walk/run or simply donate any amount of money to the cause.

“We felt like it was very successful,” stated Natalie. There were 14 additional team members signed up that morning and $483 in general donations. Those donations will be used to register 24 more team members. So far the team total collected is $948. “This amount represents 1/3 of our goal of raising $3,000,” Natalie explained.

There is still time to donate or join the team. You don’t have to be a “runner” to join. There will be plenty of team members walking and enjoying the company of others.

If you are interested in learning more about the event you can log on to www.snv.wish.org or call Natalie or Robert Jacobsmeyer at 397-2507.
