Business Blossoms For Exquisite Blooms

Exquisite Blooms, a family-owned floral shop is a recent addition to the Mesquite commercial sector. Denise and Bill Sims have brought 39 years of floral designing and creativity with them from Reno, Nevada.

The Sims relocated the business to Mesquite in November of 2021. “I looked at Idaho and Wyoming, but they are too cold in winter,” said Denise in an interview last week. “Bill plays league softball which brought us to Mesquite for a game and that was it.”
Bill is now playing with the “Old Geezers” and a team in St George.

Denise brings 11 floral certifications with her to the business. She is a certified floral designer as well as a master florist. She enjoys teaching floral design and plans to start floral classes in this area in early 2023.

Exquisite Blooms specializes in all large event arrangements, experience in large floral structures, as well as sympathy arrangements. They are also certified wedding specialists.
“We are fortunate, we were able to bring some of our larger clients with us when we moved and that has helped us through the newbie period,” said Denise.

Denise said that the business has a large array of supplies and equipment on hand to serve every unique floral need. “We have 5,000 custom vases on hand,” she said. “All of our vase’s are uniquely decorated by me.”

Bill does deliveries for the business. Exquisite Blooms serves both Virgin and Moapa Valleys. They are members of the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce and have merged into their new community lifestyle and activities.

Working out of their home right now Denise says they will have a store location by the first of next year.
