It was a grand day for local businessman Mike Gomes, owner/operator of Mesquite bicycle shop All In Cycles. On Thursday, June 27, Gomes celebrated the opening of his newly expanded bike shop.
The new shop is located in the same building as the old one was at 1085 Pioneer Boulevard. But it is now right next door in Suite 1085.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was put on by the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce. It was held indoors because of the high winds and heat outside. Gomes cut the ribbon with help from his 4-year-old son Kaden.

Gomes was excited to be showing off the new space to the public. “This move will allow us to serve our customers much better,” he said. “It will give us faster turnaround time for service and repairs. And we can carry more models of bicycles as well as way more bicycle accessories, care and maintenance products.”
The new shop now displays a huge aerial photograph by John Bolier showing in amazing detail the full mountain bike trail leading to the top of Flat Top Mesa.
Gomes said he is a local guy. He graduated from Virgin Valley High School and has been around bikes all his life. His dad was a real bike enthusiast and his knowledge comes from experience.
“Our mission” said Gomes, “ is to make this area a place where bikers want to come. We want to see more local bike trails, and we want bikers – both experienced and beginners – to know this bike shop is a good resource for them; not only for repairs but with friendly helpful, and knowledgeable guidance.”
The new shop has a bike trail painted right on the floor so that new bike owners can ride right out of the shop, Gomes said.
“Mesquite Chamber was so excited to be a part of the All In Cycles expansion ribbon cutting today!” said Mesquite Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Carol Kolson. “Biking is a favorite sport in Mesquite and we are lucky to have Mike Gomes as an expert on riding trails, bike sales and repairs. The store looks amazing and is so inviting for customers! Kudos to All In Cycles on their expansion!”
Refreshments served were prepared by neighboring restaurant D Thai Bistro including yummy pot stickers and other assorted appetizers and cold teas.
