The Super Run Classic Car Show, sponsored by Mesquite Gaming at the CasaBlanca Resort is set for September 21-23. This family-friendly event will host a line-up of roaring engines competition, slow drags, burn-out contests, and an extreme automotive flames exhibition. Car collectors from seven states will show off classic vehicles representing every decade dating back to the 1920s, including vintage rides, hot rods, muscle cars, street rods, and more.
“The Super Run Classic Car Show is Mesquite’s second car show of the year,” said Christian Adderson, Corporate Sales Manager at Mesquite Gaming. “We’re excited for car aficionados to make their way back in town and show off their award-winning vehicles.”
This year, National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) racers from years past will present their vintage dragsters during the Nostalgia Thunder Fire-Up on Friday and Saturday evenings following the burn-out competitions.
Over 260 awards, as well as $15,000 in cash and drawing prizes will be up for grabs for car show participants. Awards include Mayor’s Pick, People’s Choice, and Participant’s Pick, as well as lots of others.
Weekend entertainment also includes Heartbeat City: The Cars Tribute, the Terry Wayne Project, and A Night with Buddy and Roy: Buddy Holly & Roy Orbison Tribute by the Randy Anderson Band.
“From the burn-out competitions to the poker tournament and late night entertainment, we keep the weekend jam-packed with events that make for the perfect weekend getaway,” Adderson said.
