Moapa Valley Progress
Mesa View Quick Care in Logandale welcomes Rodney “RJ” Briggs as a Certified Physician Assistant.
RJ is a 2001 graduate of Moapa Valley High School (MVHS). He received his Bachelors degree in Biology from UNLV in 2011. From there, he continued his education at Bethel University in Tennessee where he earned his Masters in PA-C Studies in 2016.
RJ spent two years in Colorado as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints soon after his high school graduation. He and his wife, Teresa, both attended MVHS. But they didn’t get together until after he returned from his mission. They married in February 2006 and are the parents of one daughter and four sons.
As Moapa Valley natives, RJ and Teresa decided to move their family back to Logandale in 2016. RJ was able to work in the emergency rooms of several Las Vegas valley hospitals.
“We knew it wasn’t fair to keep five grandkids away from their grandparents if we had the opportunity to move back,” said RJ.
Valley residents can see RJ at the Mesa View Medical Group Quick Care in Logandale on Mondays. He spends the rest of his work week in the Mountain View Hospital and Sunrise Hospital emergency rooms.
