JoAnn Taylor Ballard
JoAnn Taylor Ballard, age 84, passed away on July 6, 2021, at her home in Mesquite Nevada surrounded by her family.
She was born in Redbud, Ill, on February 5, 1937, to Arlest “Blackie” Skaggs and Venal (Gibson) Skaggs.
JoAnn retired from the La Puente Adult Education System of southern California in 1998 after 30 years of dedicated service as an administrative secretary.
JoAnn enjoyed family gatherings, and her love of cards brought many happy memories for family and friends. She loved many activities, including bowling (where she met the love of her life, Bob), dancing, water skiing, camping and fishing.
Those who remain to cherish her memory include her loving husband Robert “Bob” Ballard; her daughter Diana (Chuck) Logan; grandchildren: Shaen Allen, Zachery Eye and Jasmine Eye; great-granddaughter Breann Allen and Emil Merxs; great-great-grandsons Gage and Logan Wilhite; sister Arlene Hawkins; brother Mike (Jan) Skaggs; and many nieces and nephews.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Arlest and Vernal Skaggs; son Roger Eye; siblings Jackie Keller and Robert “Bob” Skaggs; and a brother in-law, William “Bill” Hawkins.
