The Progress
Local company Freedom Renovations celebrated its first anniversary of business in Moapa Valley on October 15. The company owned by Stephen Foley has been busy this past year and has had a lot of success in the area.
“It has been a busy year,” said Foley, “We have been so blessed and we really appreciate the community of Moapa Valley for their support and help.”
Foley recalled how he came from a hard life in Las Vegas and moved to Moapa Valley looking for a change in scenery. He was worried about starting a new business when the COVID-19 pandemic was in “full speed ahead” mode.
“We were unsure of how we would be received, how much business we would have and could retain,”
Foley said. “But we have found multiple people who have helped us out in so many ways. We would have moved out here way earlier if we knew how wonderful and amazing the members of this community are.”
Freedom Renovations is a handyman business that does all sorts of jobs, including the really small stuff like fixing a door handle on a kitchen cabinet.
The company has decided they will be having a special treat at the Moapa Valley Community Trunk or Treat to celebrate their 1 year anniversary. Freedom Renovations employee Bonnie Kelli has been working on the surprise for over a month and getting it ready for the October 30 Parks and Recreation Halloween Trunk or Treat. They will be doing the big surprise treat for the community in partnership with Pirate’s Landing.
“I am so pumped for this surprise,” said Kelli. “We are going to celebrate Halloween and our one-year anniversary in a big way!”
The Parks and Recreation Trunk or Treat will be on October 30 starting at 5:30 pm at the Clark County Fairgrounds located at 1301 Whipple Ave. in Logandale. The event will be a drive-thru with an outlined one-way route.
Freedom Renovations is looking forward to its second year in the community and continuing its services and helping people with their “handyman” needs.
