The annual Robison/Sandoval Memorial baseball game is scheduled for this Friday, February 24, 5:00 pm at the Moapa Valley High School ball field.
This game has been played every Spring for over a decade now. Its purpose is to honor two MVHS players who were teammates in the 1998-2000 baseball seasons, who both passed away in 2005. BJ Robison, son of Ben and Kay Robison died in a motorcycle accident. Shawn Sandoval, son of Lori Sandoval and Carl Weiss died of cardiac arrest
The two families, along with the MVHS varsity baseball team and coaches, arrange this game to be played with alumni.
The event is also a fundraiser for the $1,000 memorial scholarship that is awarded each year. To attend it is free.
All are invited to come out and support the families and teams for the friendly competition.
The concession stand will be open and selling hamburgers, hot dogs and more. So bring the whole family for dinner. Raffle tickets and T-shirts will also be available.
