This annual event begins promptly at 7am with a flag raising, Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem, short ceremony, breakfast, water games, watermelon, fire district water fight.
Then evening activities begin at 5pm with flag lowering, dinner, outside entertainment, awards, fireworks, music and dancing.
The fireworks will be launched from the mesa behind the casino. a playlist will accompany the fireworks.
Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs and tailgate.

The Virgin River Coalition and Virgin Valley Heritage Museum are sponsoring a
“Virgin River Watershed Camp” This camp will be held:
Date: Thursday, July 21, 2022.
Time: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM – Lunch provided
Location: Jimmy Hughes Campus – 150 N Yucca St. Old Library
Participants will learn about the history of the early inhabitants and settlers in the
Virgin River Valley and Watershed, learn how to make adobe bricks, learn about
petroglyphs, complete a petroglyph art activity, learn about river plants, animals
and fish with “hands-on” science activities. Participants should wear comfortable
clothes that can get wet – we will be using the splash pad area for some
activities. Participants will receive a “Virgin River Watershed Camp” T-Shirt and
lunch.
The camp is open to youth ages 8 – 13 and will be limited to 20 participants.
There is a registration fee of $10.00 per individual or a Family Fee of $40.00.
