Instead of our annual Hot & Dusty Art Invitational, this year we will be hosting a movie premiere. With the help of our docent, James Reilly, the museum was able to digitize a film reel dating back to the mid-1930s. The Lost City Museum will be premiering this film, along with unseen film and photos from the 1920s through the 1930s in a presentation by Archaeologist Virginia Lucas which covers the early years of the museum, the St. Thomas pageant site, and Pueblo Grande de Nevada.
August 26, 2023, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at the Lost City Museum.
We will have an in-person silent auction, and the Lost City Museum Docent Council will be on hand to sell drinks and snacks for the movie presentation. Proceeds go towards the funding of LCM’s programs and workshops, and the building of a collections storage building.
