Adaline McDonald

Adaline Minerva Pearson McDonald, 96, passed away at the home of her son in New Harmony, Utah March 9, 2008. She was born April 11, 1911 in Circleville, Utah to Joseph H. and Nora Louisa Buchanan Pearson. She married her sweetheart John A. McDonald on June 4, 1932 in Las Vegas, Nevada. That marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS temple in 1964. Adaline grew up in Circleville, spent her married life in Las Vegas and later moved to Overton, Nevada. In 2001 she moved to New Harmony, Utah to live in the home of her son and daughter-in-law . Adaline was a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints and was a stake missionary. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge of Las Vegas for over 50 years holding many positions of office including president. During WWII she belonged to the women’s auxiliary. Grandmothers club, (past President), Bunko club, and Daughters of Utah Pioneers were also things she enjoyed. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years John A. McDonald and 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She is survived by her children; Betty Louise White, New Harmony, Utah, Belva LaRue Schrock, Logandale, NV, John Alexander McDonald Jr. (Joy Lynn) New Harmony 16 grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Marshall, Southern Utah Health Care aids, Nurse Brenda, and also her good friend Joy Simpson. Funeral services were held Friday, March 14, 2008 in the New Harmony LDS Chapel. Burial was in the Eden Vale Cemetery March 14, 2008.
