On Tuesday, PTA members washed all of the teacher’s and staff member’s cars after the monthly PTA meeting.

First graders in Mrs. Wilson’s class pose with the flowers they brought her on Wednesday, May 7, for Teacher Appreciation Week at Grant M. Bowler Elementary School.

The PTA asked kids to present their teachers with a flower of some sort on Wednesday. Kids brought in real flowers, plastic flowers, pictures of flowers and silk flowers.

Also on Wednesday, the PTA provided teachers and staff members with a special lunch. The PTA ordered food from Lin’s Marketplace and was given an additional $50 off as a donation. Thursday was book day. Kids were asked to bring their teacher a new or gently used book for their classroom.

To close the week, Friday was write a letter day. Kids wrote thank you notes to their teachers letting them know they are appreciation for everything they do.

The PTA expressed their appreciation to the kids for making Teacher Appreciation Week such a success. “Thank you for helping to make this a fun week for your awesome teachers!”
