The winners of the annual Moapa Valley 4th of July Essay competition were then announced. This year the topic was the same as the celebration’s theme: “Freedom is Never Free.” Pray said that thirty to forty middle school students competed in the Essay Contest this year, and the two winners “really stood out.” |
