The Overton Pool held the final family swim night of the summer on Wednesday, August 6 from 5-7 p.m. The theme for the evening was Pirates of the Caribbean. Pool Manager Kim Lyon along with lifeguards Kasi Delgadillo, Joe Rebman, and Taylor Davis hung out and enjoyed the cooler weather together as they waited for families to show up for the evening. Although the evening didn’t prove to be a busy action-filled evening, a small group of kids arrived with their mothers and, yes, even a father as well. “It was a relaxing evening,” said Lyon. “The weather had cooled down with the storm coming and there was nice shade.” |

The Logandale Pool will play host to their last family swim night with a Hawaiian Luau on Wednesday, August 20 from 6-8 p.m..
Both Overton and Logandale Pools will be closing sooner than you think. Mark you calendar for the following end of summer hours. From August 18-22 open swim will take place from 11 a.m. through 5 p.m. On Saturday, August 23 open swim will take place from 11 a.m. through 4 p.m. Labor Day weekend hours will be August 30 through September 1 from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. For any questions on pool availability contact Clark County Parks and Recreation at 398-7480. |
