Mack Lyon Middle School held its annual Back to School Pool Party at the Overton Pool on Friday, August 22. Principal Rod Adams and Assistant Principal Jaydel Wilson, along with a pool full of middle schoolers, enjoyed the evening with popsicles, diving board contests and music. Kids enjoyed hanging out talking about who was in class with whom and their excitement about the upcoming year. When asked if they were happy about starting middle school a group of young sixth graders could barely contain their excitement. Of course, that could have just been the thought of getting their picture in the paper, but we will just say they were excited about starting school again. |
