The Marty Warburton Band Family has been a mainstay of the southern Nevada Bluegrass scene for over 30 years. Father, Curly Warburton was instrumental in founding the Southern Nevada Bluegrass Society back in 1975 and served as its president for several years.
The Warburton family made a name for themselves in the southwest competing and performing at many Bluegrass Festivals. In 1996, the band won the International Pizza Hut Bluegrass Showdown that culminated at the IBMA convention in Owensboro, Kentucky. The group took first place out of a 127 bands that competed. “This band always has fun on stage,” said band leader, Marty Warburton. “And when the band has fun, the crowd has fun.” The festival will include Bluegrass music performances on stage throughout each day of the festival. A lot of activity will also be happening off-stage. There will be 24 hour jam sessions, music workshops, RV and tent camping and food and craft vendors.
