Donna Rae Fletcher

OBITUARY:

Donna Rae Fletcher

Donna Rae Fletcher, 61, returned home to her Heavenly Father on September 18, 2008. After a heroic battle with cancer, Donna passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.

Donna was born May 1, 1947 to Perry and Carma Keller in Hurricane, Utah. The family soon moved to Montana where Donna spent most of her life. Donna grew up in the Kalispell area. She was a cheerleader in Columbia Falls and graduated from Flathead County High School in Kalispell. In 1968 Donna met and fell in love with Wayne Fletcher. They were married on August 9, 1968 in Sheridan, Montana. Donna gave birth to beautiful twin daughters, Sharon and Karen, in 1970 and 10 years later was blessed with another beautiful daughter, Samantha.

Donna was devoted to her family. Wayne’s career required almost yearly moves, and the family moved from town to town all over the state of Montana. The family settled in Helena, MT where Donna lived for 15 years. Wayne’s career took the couple on new adventures and over the next 11 years, Donna lived in Nevada, Ohio, Colorado, Georgia and Utah. They retired in St. George, Utah to be close to her family.

Donna’s family was the most important thing in her life. She especially enjoyed spending time with her nine grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and often spent time giggling with her two sisters. She was proud of her daughters and always put them first in her life.

Donna was a kind and beautiful person. Everyone who knew her loved her. She will be greatly missed! Donna is survived by her husband, Wayne Fletcher of St. George UT, her three daughters, Sharon (Charlie) Jarvis of Mesquite NV, Karen (Mads) Hughes of Logandale NV, and Samantha (Remo) Mills of Lehi UT. She is also survived by her parents Perry and Carma Keller of St. George UT, two sisters, two brothers and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Mesquite Nevada LDS Stake Center, with visitation starting at 12:30. The Family invites you to leave a message or memory in our “Memorial Guestbook” at www.virginvalleymortuary.com. Services are under the care of Virgin Valley Mortuary (702)346-6060.
