But petting and learning about animals aren’t the only thing that the Small Animals Exhibit provides. There will be fun and games provided for everyone as well, including a stick horse race, a stick horse ranch (which is somewhat similar to an obstacle course), a paper rocket construction and launch, and more.
In the arena, Saturday morning of Fair weekend, contests will be held and all will be invited to watch as groups of 4H kids receive a dirty horse or animal, which they must clean and prepare in a scant total of 45 minutes, and then proceed to show, their score depending on how well they cleaned the horse and then how well the animal was presented to the judges. The demonstration contest won’t be held until later that night, where the participants will be asked to stand and give an oral presentation in a certain time limit. Inside the commercial building, another booth will be added: The 4H Science, Engineering, and Technology booth, which will be hosting activities with robots, using a GPS, and learning about alternative energy sources. Put everything together, with fun games from the Farm Bureau and you have for yourself and the people coming with you, a great time. Don’t forget to bring a camera, and maybe some sunscreen. Hope to see you there. |
