“Better ourselves? Mister, when you’re from Skid Row, ain’t no such thing.”
At least that’s what the characters in Little Shop of Horrors think until the nerdy Seymour, brings an exotic plant into Mushnik’s Skid Row Florist Shop. Suddenly, all their dreams start to come true.
The special plant food known only to Seymour makes the plant grow bigger and bigger and BIGGER; the Skid Row neighborhood watches with delight as the shop becomes famous and prospers. However, just as mysteriously, people also begin disappearing.
This fall MVHS Theatre Department presents the cult classic musical Little Shop of Horrors, written by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken. Watch as these characters choose between acquiring wealth and attaining happiness and struggle against a gigantic man-eating plant.
The show runs November 2, 3, 4 at 7:00 PM each night. Tickets are $6.00 for students and $8.00 for adults. On November 2 at 11:00 AM will be a special matinee, and tickets are $5.00 each.
