Merry Christmas to all from Mesquite Lutheran Church and Childcare. We welcome the opportunity to share with you what this greeting means for us as Christians.
We worship Christ as the only begotten Son of God who came down from heaven to be born of the Virgin Mary, to keep the Law of God perfectly as no one else can possibly do, and to pay the penalty for our sins by dying on the Cross and rising again from the dead to give us the hope of eternal life through faith in what he did for us.
We keep Christ in Christmas because he is our Savior from sin and death. He did not come simply to give us a good example to follow, or to show us how we can earn heaven for ourselves. He came to be and do what no one else can by opening heaven through the forgiveness of sins which he earned for us at the Cross. We do not worship the Cross, but like the flag of the United States, we hold it in greatest honor for what it represents – salvation in Christ alone.
We invite you to come and worship with us this season and any Sunday at 10:00 am. We also have special Services on Christmas Eve at 6:30 and Christmas Day at 10:00 am. Our Childcare is open weekdays to all children ages infant to 6 years.
