Master Plan Underway for Flood Control
Engineer Virginia Bax of the Clark County Flood Control District told residents at the recent MVTAB meeting that the master plan would be completed on the County Flood Plans in May.
“We have to first complete the master plan, then determine the peak flows,” Bax stated.
Part of the plan is to build a set of detention basins on the three major washes in the area. Finally, an early warning system should be set up to warn residents of impending floodwaters.
