There’s a slight problem with the Internet connection out here, and the weather. I’ve been ignoring it before now, but now it’s getting on my last nerves.
Whenever the wind picks up, the Internet seems to go down. Sometimes, it’s on/off, and sometimes, like today (June 1st), it completely goes down. Today, it was for about three hours, between 5:00-7:00 PM.
I’m a complete computer nerd. I jump on the computer right after I’m done with my homework and stay there until about 6:00 PM. When the Internet goes down, so does my patience.
Even though my mom told me that the cables run underground where I live, there’s something… fishy about this, in my opinion. Wind doesn’t go underground.
The whole “Internet/weather connection” was evident during the fair. Yes, way back in April. Remember those windy days? The Internet was on/off for days afterwards! Sometime between the fair and now, the wind picked up, and the Internet went down, AGAIN. What’s up with this!? It’s like the wind controls the Internet!
And, sometimes, it’s only in my area. I live up Skyline Street, near Grant M. Bowler Elementary School. Some of my friends from school like to chat with me online tell me that their Internet didn’t go down when mine did.
The wind and the Internet… Coincidence? I think not.
