Local home health care company, Mesa View Home Care has received the 2012 HealthInsight Quality Award for demonstrating excellence in performance on publicly reported quality of care measures. HealthInsight; a private, non-profit, community-based organization dedicated to improving health and healthcare in Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah; sponsors the award.
The HealthInsight Quality Award recognizes home health agencies demonstrating high quality health care in their communities. The measures for the award come from data that is reported by home health agencies across the nation. The clinical topics have been designated as national healthcare priorities by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The award acknowledges home health agencies that are actively engaged in advancing care.
“We used proven, evidence-based practices to assure that consistent medical care for all patients was carried out,” said Teresa Bowen, Mesa View Administrator. “Our combined efforts produced successful outcomes in patient care.”
“We are proud of the quality improvement initiatives being carried out at Mesa View Home Care,” Bowen added. “We are realizing the direct benefits as patient health improves.”
Mesa View Home Care has also been recognized for the second year in a row for the HomeCare Elite 2012 award, a national award recognizing the top home health agencies in the United States.
Mesa View Home Care has been providing home care to the Moapa and Virgin Valley for the last 4 years. Services include skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, medical social worker and home health aides.
Mesa View Home Care also provides Hospice and personal care services.
