The Moapa Valley Performing Arts Council will begin it’s season on Monday, September 30 with the annual Moapa Valley Talent Showcase. It will be held in the Ron Dalley Theater at Moapa Valley High School at 7 p.m.
This show has been in existence for nearly 20 years now and features local talent. Moapa Valley has a history of a strong musical background, and it is always enjoyable to showcase some of this talent.
Attendees will be delighted to hear Ron Dalley read one of his original writings, see Ballet Classique perform a number from Swan Lake and watch Ora Mae May perform on the xylophone. Another treat to look forward to is to hear Asahel Robison sing a solo with his rich, full voice; the Zephyr Singers; and Rose Whitmore play Bumble Boogie on the piano. There will also be more amazing piano, vocal and violin numbers. Residents will also have the privilege of seeing the local Pirate Motion and Goldenettes dance as well.
Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for senior citizens and students, and $30 for a family pass. All proceeds from the program will go to the Arts Council fund towards future performances.
Everyone is invited and encouraged to come, sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
