Mesquite Regional Business, Inc. To Host Community-wide Job Fair

Mesquite Regional Business, Inc. (MRB) will be hosting a community-wide job fair on Thursday, February 5. The job fair will be held in the Grand Ballroom at the CasaBlanca Resort at 950 Mesquite Boulevard in Mesquite, NV. The event is meant to provide a venue wherein job seekers and employers have the opportunity to interact.

For employers, the job fair is a one-day recruiting event that could attract hundreds of job seekers with broad qualifications.
“The job fair gives employers an efficient means of filling job vacancies while providing valuable exposure in the community and region,” said MRB Director Gaye Stockman.

To help employers achieve maximum impact at the fair, the MRB has posted information on its website to aid with their participation, Stockman said. This orientation information aims to help them prepare for the job fair, gain tips for setting-up their booth, and take full advantage of their participation in the job fair.

“A booth at the job fair presents an ideal opportunity to fill your job vacancies while providing valuable exposure for your company.” Stockman said. “The job fair is anticipated to attract hundreds of job seekers with broad qualifications.”
On the other hand, job seekers will be able to meet with a variety of employers hiring for beginning, technical, and professional positions, Stockman said.

Participating companies attending the Putting Mesquite to Work Job Fair represent approximately 150 positions currently available in the Mesquite region. A few of the participating employers include: Primex Plastics, Mesquite Gaming, Star Nursery, Deep Roots Medical, Do It Best Corporation, Express Employment Professionals and more.

MRB is continuing to seek community-minded corporations and employers in need of a quality workforce to participate in the Putting Mesquite to Work Job Fair. In coordination with the One-Stop Career Center and the Workforce Connections programs in Las Vegas, MRB is exploring opportunities for on the job training (OJT) for both employers and job seekers.

“The quality of a person’s life starts with a good job,” Stockman said. “MRB is dedicated to improving local residents’ quality of life by providing good employment opportunities. The goal of the Job Fair is for every employer to fill their vacant positions and for every qualified job seeker to find a job.”
