No one asked me but… Anti-Trump demonstrators have been showing up at Trump rallies and violently protesting Trump’s run for the presidency. These are not fellow Republicans who oppose Trump; these are left wing radicals who spout peace and tolerance. They attack Trump supporters and then cry foul when the Trumpites retaliate. They burn police cars, attack people, and destroy businesses. The media blames Trump and Trump supporters for the violence.
These political thugs pride themselves on their tolerance of drug use and alternative life styles along with opposition to the police. The only thing they can’t tolerate is a person who has a political opinion that is not in line with their liberal political thought.
It is not surprising that they oppose the Second Amendment but they also are opposed to the First Amendment right of free speech unless it is their own. When left wing nuts interrupt Trump’s campaign speeches, and are removed from the arena, they scream that their free speech rights are being trampled. That is not the case; the free speech that is being trampled upon is that of Mr. Trump.
On March 11, 2016, a Trump rally at the University of Illinois was called off when left wing organizations including the thugs from Black Lives Matter joined with Bernie Sanders supporters in an organized demonstration threatening violent demonstrations to stop Mr. Trump from delivering a campaign speech. These are the very same people who march down the streets of inner cities across America chanting: “What do we want?” “Dead Cops.” “When do we want it?” “Now.”
These people have chosen to march under the flag of Mexico and have a tendency to burn the American flag. They would have you believe that democracy is in danger if Mr. Trump is elected president. The greatest threat to American liberty is not the right wing Tea Partiers; it is the violent left wing who have adopted fascist-like actions to curb the speech of anyone who disagrees with them.
Let me state right now the prospect of a Trump presidency does not warm the cockles of my heart. However, his right to run and his right to speak should not be curtailed.
Had groups of Tea Party fanatics shown up to shut down Hillary or Bernie, the mainstream media would be calling for arrests and talking about fascist tactics. However, since the perpetrators of the violence are media favorites they say it all is the fault of Mr. Trump. They blame Trump because of his stand against radical Muslims and illegal immigration. That is like blaming the rape victim for wearing a provocative dress. The left goes nuts when that happens.
Americans have come to accept the fact that if the violence is coming from the left, it is legitimate.
We have cowboys sitting in jail and held in solitary confinement. None of these cowboys committed a single act of violence; they didn’t destroy any police cars nor break into any stores. However, they are considered so dangerous that they must not be allowed bail while awaiting a sham of a trial in a federal court.
The major mistake the cowboys made was the fact that they are self-proclaimed Constitutionalists, which puts them in the realm of Tea Partiers. One must ask how many of those involved in the Black Lives Matter riots that resulted in the destruction of entire business districts are under arrest. If it is a matter of not paying taxes or fees one must wonder why Al Sharpton, who heads up the National Action Network, is not in jail. He owes the government over $2,000,000 dollars in unpaid taxes.
No one asked me but… Those who know me, know I own a bright red 2006 Ford F-150 4X4 pick-up. They also know that I really have no use for a bright red 2006 Ford F-150 4X4 pick-up.
It is not like I would allow anything to be hauled in it. It is only a pretty face.
It used to be that I would drive it once a day to the post office. There are less than 55,000 miles on the truck, so you can see it is not driven often. I know you don’t need a pick up or four-wheel drive to access our local post office but if ever we do, I am prepared.
This truck is a manly thing to behold. It has a big engine with a Mustang exhaust system. I revel in the mellow but powerful sound of the truck. When I brought it home, my wife said she thought it was the garbage truck pulling up; that is why she is not allowed to ride in my truck.
We will not talk about gas mileage but it is one of those things, if you have to ask, you can’t afford to drive it. It has about the same carbon footprint as Al Gore’s jet.
There are stickers on the rear window and bumper that indicates this vehicle belongs to a Marine. As manly as this is, every time I have put it into four-wheel drive, I have had to look in the manual to see how one does that. This does not impress my passengers.
Everybody knows the rules for my pick up includes a ban on girls. This is a very important rule that was broken a couple of weeks ago, much to the detriment of “Big Red” as the truck is affectionately known. I had loaned my truck to my son in Las Vegas and, to return it, he had his sister-in-law, Adrianne, along with her friend Esma, drive the truck back to Logandale. Shortly thereafter “Big Red” began to make funny noises of protest.
I took “Big Red” to the car doctor and this is the report I received: “Blow out vacuum lines and replaced vacuum reservoir and vacuum solenoid. GLITTER AND DEBRIS FOUND ALL OVER VEHICLE. That is why no girls are allowed.
“Big Red” has recovered and I have promised no more girls.
Thought of the week…Freedom of speech means freedom for those who you despise, and freedom to express the most despicable views. It also means that the government cannot pick and choose which expressions to authorize and which to prevent.
