Our community needs to know that Assemblyman James Oscarson has represented us well in the State Legislature. He is steady, principled, and knows the State legislative players to get things done.
When AB 394 (the Clark County School District reorganization bill) was being crafted, he spoke up and had it changed to address our concerns. When our school board trustee told us our Community Advisory Educational Board (CEAB) didn’t exist, he was there and personally defended our community in the meeting.
Community representation doesn’t exist if your representative doesn’t understand your community. James Oscarson has lived in Moapa Valley, he has family in Moapa Valley, he knows Moapa Valley.
I write this letter because we need James Oscarson back in the legislature to represent us. His election district includes Pahrump. In this, the primary election, that means Moapa Valley is competing with Pahrump for representation. His challengers are all from Pahrump and none of them have made any effort to understand anything about Moapa Valley. If they are elected we will get no representation, nothing.
James Oscarson can win if Moapa Valley votes for him. We need him to win.
I am proudly casting my vote for James Oscarson.
